Hi Shane, I just heard from Dean Still at Aprovecho that you and Claudia Truesdell visited his Aprovecho stove testing labs in Oregon. Dean and I have known each other for more than a decade and like him, I have been testing and promoting more efficient, cleaner and more affordable ways for the world's poorest two billion people to cook their food and heat their water. All of us working in this area are competing with the big boys—i.e. the LPG industry that is offsetting their greenhouse gas emissions by purchasing carbon credits earned by selling LPG (subsidized by the poor nations of sub-Saharan Africa). We're losing ground, but we haven't given up yet. Here's a link to my You Tube Channel which includes videos on solar cooking around the world; Fresnel solar cookers; simple home-made rocket stoves; and amazingly efficient retained heat containers. https://www.youtube.com/@solarwindmama/videos . I urge you to first watch my most recent video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHdO_HaSqtQ&t=5s to see how easy it is to coordinatenthe use of three devices (along with one of Dean Still's Jet Flames) to reduce cooking time, fuel use, smoke in the kitchen and black carbon emissions by more than 60%. Please send your comments to solarwind1@mac.com. I rarely use my gmail account. thanks.
All the best, Patricia McArdle
